The dispute

Retail sales employees alleged that GoWireless did not pay their commissions under the terms of their commission agreements. They alleged that problems in the company’s computer system, and in how it worked with Verizon’s system, routinely caused commission payment errors. Under Nevada law, commissions are wages. The claims were breach of contract, failure to pay wages and unjust enrichment.

Eight years of litigation

The case was filed in 2017 and litigated for eight years in Nevada state court. In August 2025 the court granted final approval of a $13 million class settlement. Each employee’s payment is tied to their sales performance.
