NONSUIT GRANTED IN INVESTMENT FRAUD CASE IN FAVOR OF FERNALD & ZAFFOS CLIENT
The long-running case, Mehdi v. Illumiere 14, Inc., et al. proceeded to trial in the San Bernardino Superior Court before the Honorable Michael Sachs, presiding judge of the San Bernardino Superior Court. Fernald & Zaffos had already obtained summary judgment on behalf of one of its clients as well as an award of sanctions against the Plaintiff and her counsel exceeding $15,000.
The case involved an investment gone bad in a manufacturing company located in the Inland Empire. Following three days of testimony during which Fernald & Zaffos attorney Brandon C. Fernald elicited key admissions on cross-examination of the plaintiff, Fernald & Zaffos moved for judgment on behalf of its remaining client. Following extensive oral argument, the Court granted the motion in its entirety.
